What is fermented lemonade?

Qu’est-ce qu’une limonade fermentée ?

A fermented lemonade is a lemonade that goes through… fermentation.

It may sound a little mysterious when you put it that way. But the principle is actually quite simple: instead of adding sugar to give lemonade its flavour, fermentation is used to transform the naturally occurring sugars in the ingredients and develop new flavours.

That’s precisely what makes fermented lemonade different from traditional lemonade.

Lemonade, but not as you know it

Traditionally, lemonade is made with a few simple ingredients: water, lemon and sugar.

At OFLORE, we wanted to turn that idea on its head:

What if we could create a lemonade full of flavour without relying on sugar?

That’s where fermentation comes in.

The lemon is naturally fermented with a yeast culture. During the process, the sugars are consumed and the flavour profile evolves.

Fermentation creates a different kind of lemonade: fresh, tangy, sparkling and full of character.

Why does fermented lemonade sparkle?

The fizz is one of the most enjoyable things about fermentation.

During fermentation, yeast transforms sugars and produces, among other things, carbon dioxide. This process helps create delicate bubbles.

The result?

A light effervescence on the palate that complements the flavours of lemon and flowers.

At OFLORE, we aim for a fine, refreshing sparkle: enough to make every sip fizz, without overpowering the flavours.

And what does it taste like?

That’s probably the best question.

Because fermented lemonade doesn’t simply taste like traditional lemonade with the sugar taken out.

Fermentation transforms the aromas and flavours.

The result can be brighter, more complex and more expressive.

At OFLORE, the flavours are deliberately built around lemon and flowers:

🍋 Lemon — zesty, tangy and vibrant

🌺 Hibiscus — fruity, floral and refreshing

💜 Lavender — delicate, aromatic and unexpected

Each flavour has its own personality, but they all share the same foundation: a fresh, sparkling lemonade full of flavour.

Is fermented lemonade kombucha?

No.

While both drinks involve fermentation, they are made differently and rely on different ingredients.

Kombucha is generally made by fermenting tea with a culture known as a SCOBY.

Fermented lemonade, on the other hand, is built around lemon and other aromatic ingredients.

OFLORE is neither kombucha, nor kefir, nor ginger beer.

It’s fermented lemonade.

And that’s exactly the difference we want you to discover.

Why ferment lemonade?

Because we believe you shouldn’t have to choose between flavour and lightness.

A drink can be sparkling without being a traditional soft drink.

It can be full of flavour without being sweet.

It can be original without being complicated.

That’s the whole idea behind OFLORE:

freeing lemonade from sugar, without giving up the pleasure.

How should you enjoy fermented lemonade?

Well chilled, of course.

Drink it straight from the can or serve it over ice.

At the table, during a break, as an aperitif, with or without alcohol, or simply whenever you’re craving something fresh and sparkling.

And if you want to discover the different expressions of fermentation, the Discovery Box brings together all three OFLORE flavours: Lemon, Hibiscus and Lavender.

Three flavours. Three personalities. One shared desire: to make pleasure sparkle.

So, what is fermented lemonade?

It’s a new way of thinking about lemonade.

A lemonade where fermentation doesn’t just create bubbles—it helps shape the flavour.

A fresh, sparkling lemonade, full of character and sugar-free.

In short, a lemonade that’s anything but ordinary.

OFLORE — the fermented lemonade that unleashes pleasure.
